![]() If God Himself has been shown to be the catalyst to awaken the sinner unto life, fill us with His Spirit, direct us to Christ for redemption and empower us to service, why would He stop short of rescuing us for Eternity and allow us to tumble out of His grace into Hell? The verses below just begin to tell the story of God relentless commitment to the Church, one which the Devil is no match for. Hebrews 12:2 looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Philippians 1:6 And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 1:8 who will sustain you to the end, guiltless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. John 10:28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. John 6:39 And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day. John 6:44 No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day. 1 Peter 1:5 who by God's power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 1 John 2:25 And this is the promise that he made to us--eternal life. 1 John 2:25-26 And this is the promise that he made to us--eternal life. (26) I write these things to you about those who are trying to deceive you. Bear in mind, this is not "Once-Saved-Always-Saved" - Which teaches that if you simply recite a prayer, that all your sins are forgiven for all eternity without any responsibility on your part. This is a supernatural work of Eternal Security, that God ensures a change in your heart and a new creation being cultivated through Jesus Christ. The question of the Christian’s confidence in inheriting eternal life is based not on our work, or ability - but instead on Jesus’ qualifications. Do you consider that Christ’s life, death, resurrection was sufficient to satisfy God’s just requirements of perfect Holiness? God is faithful to accomplish the promises that He has made on His own behalf for the sake of His bride and His glory. Rest in Christ, and manifest daily the committed faithfulness of God to the world through our washed lives.
